Munich Results: My Potatoes are Rusty

Posted by gauloises1 on May 7, 2009

Is anybody else finding it hard to believe that the second round is just done here? I thought BMWs were supposed to be fast.

rusty laughs

Lleyton thought it was funny.

Anyway, it was international wildcard day in Munich today, as local boy Daniel Brands (yes, I looked up his first name) beat Bennetteau in a tough three-setter and somewhat less local boy Lleyton Hewitt trashed de Bakker in straights. Missing out on the love was Andreas Beck, who fell to Tomas Berdych, but Italian stallion and all-round comedy legend Potito Starace, owner of the best name and the worst tattoos in the game, made my day by beating Bolelli. Forza!potito2

Awwwww. It is my favorite atp name too Gauloises. And, well, look at that picture-it just says “confidence” doesn’t it? Okay not really. Actually not at all. Actually, he looks scared.

He espouses the “flailing weakly” forehand, rafadoc. And why not.
