(Oh, and Licky, one of my other ultra-faves, also made it through with a tough win over Anna Chakvetadze. Great stuff.)

I would think the morons who do the scheduling pissed her off in a very major way. Tommy the Tease and Fabrice the Fantabulous went some way to making things up to her by getting off the court in short order so that she actually got her match over and done with tonight, but…
She was scheduled last match of the day on what’s now court 3, but what was until last year court 2, the Graveyard of Champions.
The pissed part in the pic comes from the really vicious angle of the sun at that end of the court at that time of day. According to Yahoo Sport, she was having real problems with her contacts – poor love. (Actually, when I saw that, I thought it explained a lot – shots she just didn’t even try to go for or completely whiffed, etc.) As someone who wears glasses, I shudder to think what that must have been like; it’s bad with just Eyes 1.0, but add lenses of any sort and it’s murder.
So I personally forgive her for looking like she wanted to murder someone.

And she gets 700,000% bonus points for looking gorgeous in those pics, pissed or not (actually a pissed Amelie is frickin’ HOT). Also, I want to have babies with whoever the photographer was. Amazing shots.
Well, let me clarify that: if it was Corinne Debreuil, I want to have babies with her; if it was a guy, maybe I’ll just have babies with whatever lens they had on the camera.
