Zverev in a Stichy Situation

Apparently Michael Stich will be playing doubles with Mischa Zverev in Hamburg next week.
Ethan Hawke’s really let himself go, eh?
At first I was annoyed about this, in a “go away, you’re old” sort of way. But then it occurred to me that it guarantees me at least one opportunity to make a Stich-related pun.
Lemons, lemonade. Or words to that effect having to do with sticks.

Indeed it is made worse by the fact that I was pronouncing it “stitch,” not “stick.”

I think it’s actually “shteek”. But any variation on the theme, however tenuous, will be considered acceptable as long as it gives rise to a hilarious pun.
