Please could Tommy Haas just lose? I’m sure all my post titles about him are getting rather reheated by now.
Anyway, he further proved he is pure evil by beating Boss tonight, 75 26 61. I think Boss’ jet lag from Umag might finally have caught up with him. Anyway, I’m sure he’s not done for the summer.

Haas will meet Gonzo next, who overcame Wayne Odesnik 62 64. I love Gonzo’s game face. He always looks like someone’s just whispered something really shocking into his ear.

Robin Soderling beat Marc Gicquel in three sets (not sure what happened there) to set up a quarterfinal with Elf - more on that later – and Ivo Karlovic put an end to another good run for Somdev Devvarman. He’ll face the winner of Roddick-Querrey, which is underway at the moment.
