Djokovic, Murray: Noble 500

Federer to the right of them, Youzhny to the left of them, home crowd not behind them, they volley’d and thundered. And so forth.
Get in, you boyos.
Again, I’ve only seen highlights of the Valencia final, but I thought Murray was mightily impressive in defeating Mikhail Youzhny 63 62. Not Mischa’s best day, but he’s been on such a great run of late and done so well at this tournament, there’s no shame there.
And I’m just delighted that Murray has come back from his wrist injury so strongly to nab his sixth title of the year. Now, do I dare to hope for what I shall euphemistically call a strong finish to the season …?
Somebody be a doll and photoshop in the 02, would you?
As for my kitten-haired Nole, he definitely had the harder task and took to it with aplomb, beating home favourite, GOAT and defending champion Federer in three sets, 64 46 62. From the comments I’ve read, it doesn’t seem like the match was of particularly high quality, but I frankly don’t care. Yes, all the pressure was on Federer’s shoulders, but that’s pretty much where he eats. And for Nole to outlast and outfight him on his home turf is a fantastic achievement. Have I mentioned I’m happy?

Guh. Roger. I had this half-hearted hope that he might come back every set but he failed to do so … afdfsaddfshsgddsfgd
It eventually got to the point where I was holding my breath at every forehand he attempted.
