Bambi & The Sex. So Wrong. So Right.

It’ll be Gael Monfils vs. Radek Stepanek in the second semi-final in Paris after both won their quarter-finals earlier today. I didn’t see either match but from watching the highlights on mute, Monfils-Cilic looks like it was very entertaining stuff, with Bambi taking it 64 in the third.
This is the third time Bambi’s been to a Masters semi-final and it’s cool for him to do it on home soil. As for Marin, he’s had an up-and-down season but the last few months have been really strong. Good stuff.
In the other semi-final, Stepanek was leading 4-0 when JMDP was forced to retire with an abdominal strain. Yeah, that’s not good news.
JMDP says that the injury shouldn’t make him doubtful for London, but I’m not sure. Not to mention that if there’s one way to incur the surefire wrath of the fandom, it’s to send Marat Safin into retirement, then have to retire yourself. Silly boy.
Having said that, I’m pleased to see Steps in a Masters semi-final again. The fact that he’s still going strong at 30 is fairly impressive, right? It can’t just be me that thinks that. I can see that match against La Monf being all kinds of fun, not to mention that it’s good for the Czechs to see Steps rounding into strong form ahead of the Davis Cup final.
Bring it on.

when I was watching the match, I kept saying to JMDP (I was actually sending him telepathic messages through the computer screen) just retire!!! From the get go, it didn’t really look like he was feeling well. I wonder when he first acquired the injury because he sure didn’t look ill during the match with Marat. But I do think that he’ll be ready for London, he still has 8 days to recover, right? And from the looks of it, I don’t think that the injury was all that serious. He has more than enough time to recover (I hope!). Meanwhile, as we once again experience JMDP drought, I have one request for Gauloises. Is it possible for you to post something similar to the Federporn Friday on Dootsiez’s blog where, during RF’s lengthy absences, she posts random photos and videos of Federer.. you know, just to assuage the JMDP withdrawal sympotoms?
thanks a bunch!

Look, I’m sorry you’re hurt and everything JMDP, but if you’re going to take out two of my favorite players in a row, at least win the tournament!!! *Sigh*
Anyways, La Monf is the only good thing left about Paris, seeing him win a Masters in his homeland would be INCREDIBLE, so I’m hanging my hopes on that even if it won’t happen.
But seriously ATP, too many people are down. The WTA Season is long over. This is RIDICULOUS.

I just want to clarify that I didn’t actually want Elf to play while hurt. I’m bitter, not cruel. Somehow that’s better.

I’m doubtful about Elf London, but we’ll see… I was like please just retire when I sw him wincing at times. Was peed off to hear the crowd were booing when he retired… The Monfil/Cilic match was entertaining, Monfil was in the air for a couple of impressive shots, I was like wow and lol! Watching such tall people bounce, fly, and stretch across the court is
