Thursday WTA Results: Palermo, Prague

Posted by gauloises1 on July 17, 2009

Nothing too earth-shattering today. Benesova, Bondarenko and Bacsinzky all booked their place in the quarter-finals, and wild card Zarina Diyas beat local favourite Petra Kvitova. In Palermo, one local favourite Alberta Brianti fell, but Sara Errani carried on to the quarters, along with Schnyder and Shvedova, and qualifier Arantxa Rus lost to Anna-Lena Groenefeld 76(5) 63. So I still don’t know who she is. Will I ever find out?!

I don’t know how you do it Gaul. If the tennis year were a day, this part of the year would be 4:00, also known as “naptime.”
