Fed Confirms 2010 Schedule, Hires Full-Time Physio

Posted by gauloises1 on November 3, 2009

According to The Times, Roger Federer has made an addition to his team in the shape of Stephane Vivier, an ATP physiotherapist who will travel with him and keep him in good shape. He’s following in the footsteps of Roddick, whose trainer Doug Spreen was also an ATP physio before joining his team.

Fed’ s also announced that he will play the following next year: Doha, Dubai, Indian Wells, Miami, Rome, Estoril (?), Madrid, Halle, Toronto, Cincinnati, Shanghai, Basel, Paris and the WTFs. Plus the Slams, of course.

So … enjoy that, rest of the field.

So Fed isn’t playing Monte Carlo or Indian Wells? I’m not so surprised by the omission of Monte Carlo (although I am somewhat surprised he’s playing Estoril…I figured he might just play Rome and Madrid next year now that he’s won RG), but I am by Indian Wells.

When is the last time Roger won Indian Wells? I think it has been a few years…. I wonder if that played a part in his decision.

He is coming to see me in Lisbon fools!! duh!
I highly recommend you all come and be able to get close to lots of fabulous players and eat great food and drink marvelous wine. Not to mention beaches within 20 minutes of the city centre.

Give me a six -figure raise and I’m there. 🙂 At my current financial rate the best I can hope for is Houston. *sob*

IW is in his schedule. That’s what the Mothership says, anyway. G, you’re gonna give me a heart attack! 😉
