Rafter? I Hardly Know ‘er

Posted by gauloises1 on December 7, 2009

Magnificent specimen Pat Rafter won the AEGON Masters Tennis tournament at the Albert Hall this week, beating Stefan Edberg 67(5) 64 11-9 in the final.

I’m only really posting this because it’s Pat, who was my second ever tennis crush. My first was Goran. Wimbledon 2001 pretty much made me a woman.

I only watched the first set TB, but, man, I just adore Rafter. Those shoulders! Those calves! That little patch of grey hair!

He lost the TB but there was one exquisite return that made me squeal with happiness.
