Didn’t We Already Hit for Haiti?

Posted by gauloises1 on February 19, 2010

A second exhibition to raise money for victims of the Haitian earthquake will take place during Indian Wells, this one featuring Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras in addition to Roger and Rafa.

Bet you a million dollars that it’s not as good as the first one. Not that that’s the point, of course. Oh, now I feel bad.

This is going to be the “Smack Upside the Head for Haiti”

Yeah, I’ve got a feeling that this one will be a little bit less improv-hilarity and a bit more forced-hilarity.

Agree with all. Feeling some shame.

While I hate to quibble about something for charity (and also agree on the sentiment it won’t measure up to the first, not that that’s the point at all), I would like to ask who came up with the idea that Sampras and Federer should play against Agassi and Nadal? In terms of playing style — I thought it would be more fun to have a contrast of styles on each team so I’d put Nadal and Sampras together with Fed and Agassi on the other team.

Yes, but it doesn’t count if it’s in the southern hemisphere.

sadly – i think this will be less hits n giggles, but i suppose its harder to get a crew together mid tourney.

it should still be fun though – so am STILL looking forward to it! 🙂

Actually, this might be an opportunity for Sampras to cop a feel of Nadal’s spin. He would of course portray it as hitting and giggling, but will go for it as much as he can without embarrassing himself.
