Indian Wells Day One (Was Yesterday)

Posted by gauloises1 on March 11, 2010

So Indian Wells is upon us, and I’m already behind. Stupid timezones. The WTA played first round matches yesterday to ease us in with a minimum of surprises – unless it’s a surprise that Sorana Cirstea actually won a match, her second of 2010. Mixed fortunes for the British girls, though: Keothavong fell to Chakvetadze in three sets, but Elena Baltacha beat wildcard Alexa Glatch after playing her way through qualifying.

Bally should crack the top 50 with this result. Great stuff. Badass grandma Kimiko Date-Krumm had a good win over Melinda Czink, Alicia Molik beat Tatjana Malek, and that Justine Henin person opened up her Indian Wells account with a straightforward beating of Magdalena Rybarikova.

Seriously? That’s what you’re wearing?

Seriously? With that thing that Bally is wearing you are worried by Henin’s outfit??? Is going straight from court to perform in a cheap science fiction film..
