Indian Wells: Pico But Not Boss

Posted by gauloises1 on March 16, 2010

In a mildly surprising result in the section of the draw left vacant by Marin Cilic’s unaccountable sucking and failing (not so much over it as I may have implied), Pico took on Boss in their third match of 2010 and came out the victor from a gruelling contest that lasted over three hours, 76(2) 36 63.

Still bloody awesome.

I couldn’t find any pictures of Pico from today’s match that were sufficiently worth right-clicking, so have this one instead.

Good for Pico, but I must say I am a bit crushed that Boss didn’t win …

Pico makes me smile but BOSS MELTS MY HEART.

Pico’s tirade at the umpire over a line call was hilarous and cute overload at the same time. He goes on and on and on but his body language is so non-threatening. Full of cupped hands pleading, begging, even clutching the step at her feet and bowing his head to it. Pure hilarious supplication, all done with a truly sorrowful face. He begins to look like some painting of St Sebastian (tied to a pole and shot with arrows).

But the hair, Pico. It’s a bit long. One hairband away from Nicolas Massu.
