He Wo-on, He Wo-on #2

Posted by gauloises1 on February 18, 2011

The second installment in a continuing series. I just call them that because … well, that’s all I can really think after he wins each and every match.

64 63 over world no. 24 John Isner.

64 64 over world no. 62 Ivan Dodig.

Hitting the ball pretty damn well for someone who’s ranked 298 in the world.

Michael Russell next. He’s actually beaten Delpo once before, back in 2008. I mainly remember him as the Hobbit-a-like who took a set off Delpo during the big man’s troubled 2010 Australian Open campaign.

Elves > Hobbits. Everyone knows that.

So am I the only one who’s downright outraged by the criminal lack of Memphis picturage?!?

Not only lack of coverage (which to me means live stream) but an impossible website where finding any kind of up-to-date information is ridiculously difficult. Seriously, what year is it in Memphis?

It was livestreamed from tonight? Check livescorehunter.com (or if you’re in Europe, bet365.com).

Lovescorehunter.com is my mainstay. And Tennis Canada streamed the Raonic / Stepanek match today, which was a nice treat. But streaming direct from the website seems to happen more and more, even if it isn’t always free. I’m getting so I rely on it…

YAY! At this point you’re soon going to have to change your blog’s subtitle. (?)

I would, I so would, but I can’t remember what it used to be! Was it something like “Some people want to conquer Everest, but my dream is to climb the Tower of Tandil”?

or… was it something like “why are you so horrible? why?”

I think it was that, ‘climbing the tower of Tandil’. Some kind of combination of towers and punishment boxes sounds even better, though may be illegal in some countries. Maybe that’s the real reason behind all these totalitarian governments being overthrown of late.
