Image is Everything: Momo In Madrid

So, wherever I go today (Amelie’s website, Amelie’s fan forums, image googling ‘Amelie Mauresmo’ …), I just keep seeing these pictures of Amelie training in Madrid.
And you know, I tried not to post them. I really did. But then I realised the universe WANTS ME to see them. And because I have a ‘monkey-see monkey-blog’ approach to life … the universe wants you to see them too.

Y’know, having been fortunate enough to photograph her the last couple of years at IW, I gotta say: Amelie has truly amazing skin. When you think “photogenic” think of her; her skin just sorta soaks up the sun (which lord knows, on a tennis court can be pretty harsh) and looks good. Other people, not so much (unless they’re lucky enough to be born with naturally darker pigmentation) and that can really make it a challenge to get a good shot of some players, especially in the middle of the day. But when you get that late afternoon light, she just sorta glows a burnished bronze…
On behalf of the universe: why even try to resist? *channeling Patrick Stewart’s voice* Resistance, as the Momo Borg would have you know, is futile. 😉
