Thursday Results: Queens, Halle

Posted by gauloises1 on June 11, 2009

I’ll blog about my day at Queens today (disclaimer: it was probably not as interesting as my Tuesday, so if you thought that made for dull reading …). But for the moment …

Queens

No alarms and no surprises today. We could pretend that Gilles Simon getting beaten by Mikhail Youzhny in straight sets is a surprise, but we’d be fooling no-one, now would we?

mischa

Murray proceeded over Garcia-Lopez, and Andy Roddick defeated Lleyton Hewitt in two tiebreak sets in the match of the day.

 a-rod

Oh, and Juan Carlos Ferrero put out Xavier Malisse. Did you know Malisse was playing this tournament? I saw him practicing on Tuesday, and even I didn’t know he was playing this tournament.

It was a cold day in Halle as Florent Serra held five match points over Novak Djokovic. Kitten came through in the end, but seriously, Nole. If you can’t win *this* tournament …
